Our Client:
An internationally recognized investment and development company specialised in logistics real estate.

Role Overview:
As the Technical Development Director, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the technical aspects of real estate development projects, from initial feasibility studies to final delivery. You will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and government authorities to ensure successful project completion within the established timelines, budgets, and specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Lead feasibility studies and provide advice on technical solutions.
• Oversee technical due diligence processes, including cost analysis, environmental assessments, and technical surveys, from land acquisition through project development.
• Collaborate with internal teams to secure land holdings, zoning, building permits, and oversee construction and delivery.
• Lead the design and engineering process.
• Represent the company in dealings with authorities and general contractors.
• Manage the process of obtaining administrative approvals and permits.
• Prepare and manage project budgets.
• Supervise the tendering process for the general contractor and other contractors.
• Ensure the delivery of logistics real estate projects in line with project documentation (building permits, tender documentation, project plans), budgets, and schedules.
• Report on the progress of developments.
• Monitor project costs and implement corrective measures to meet budgetary goals.
• Act as an intermediary between the client and the commercial team to translate client requirements into technical specifications.
• Coordinate with internal and external project managers, technical managers, and external experts.

Functieomschrijving

Qualifications:

• Completed higher education (HBO/WO) in real estate, construction management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in real estate development, specifically in logistics real estate or related sectors such as hotel or office developments.
• Proven experience in project management and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of the technical aspects of construction and development processes.
• Excellent command of both Dutch and English (written and spoken).
• Ability to think and operate both strategically and operationally.
• Strong communication skills and experience managing stakeholders.
